Supervisor, Corporate Security

Summary
PenFed is hiring a Supervisor, Corporate Security at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia. The primary purpose of this job is to be responsible for the implementation of the Corporate Security & Safety Program and serves as the primary security and safety officer for enterprise-wide physical security systems, branch/retail and service center locations in the Northeast region. This role will also identify, mitigate and resolve physical security risk and safety issues affecting the company at the assigned sites; as well as be the primary point of contact for all external first responders or investigative agencies related to security issues. This role will also provide supervisory oversight for a team of Security Specialists.

Essential Functions

Provide general oversight and training for Security Specialist staff on daily activities and program guidance. Help ensure staff members adhere to procedures and makes recommendation for improvement. Mentor staff and provide input into performance evaluations.
Oversee security at multiple locations and coordinating site security surveys, security system design and install, badge management, access control, camera systems, alarm monitoring, Teller Station security, ATM security, robbery procedures, incident response, evacuation procedures, risk assessments and investigations.
Manage physical security and safety processes enterprise-wide to include access control systems and badge systems, access logs review, incident response, evacuation procedures, cctv, security system design and alarms for multiple facilities; including branch/retail locations.
Manage security processes for ATMs.
Complete accurate, timely and comprehensive reports relative to security and safety responsibilities, reporting and investigation.
Monitor, analyze, and investigate security violations and incidents to determine causes, highlighting program weaknesses, pinpointing responsibility/culpability and recommending corrective action, as appropriate.
Manage branch opening and robbery procedures training in coordination with branch management.
Coordinate vendor response to security equipment needs.
Remain up to date on trends and necessary training to implement best practices within security.
Evaluate effectiveness of existing security practices.
Coordinating security duties and follow-up with contract security officers.
Participate in on-site internal and external audits from a security perspective.
Communicate and build relationships with key stakeholders throughout Branch and ATM Operations.
Conduct, assist and report on all branch/ATM security investigations, incidents and safety actions.
Assist in developing project proposals as needed, including all requirements gathering and development of business models.
Remain current on PenFed organizational changes to ensure proper badge access levels.
Maintain thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws as they pertain to OSHA, ADA and Fire Code/Life Safety. Collaborate with Human Resources and other departments to ensure compliance with the federal, state and local laws.
Inform senior management regarding situations that may be considered hostile or may require investigation.
Coordinate with Contract Security leadership to ensure proper staffing and the execution of sound security practices

Education and Experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field required.
Minimum of ten (15) years' experience in physical security programs, design, detection and risk mitigation.
Knowledge, proficiency and implementation of Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection and Biometrics is required (list in resume types of systems used).
Demonstrated knowledge and experience conducting analysis, complex investigations and report writing.
Skillful and demonstrated execution in conducting and documenting site security assessments.
Ability to handle multiple projects and demonstrated experience as a high functioning team player in a Corporate Security environment.


Supervisory Responsibility
This person will supervise employees.


Licenses and Certifications

Certification in recognized security organization is preferred (CPP, PSP,).



Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*


Travel
Travel up to 40% to various worksites is required within a specific PenFed Corporate Security region.
