A Day in the Life
Knowledge Link is seeking a Mid Level Lifecycle Acquisition Support Specialist to provide shipping and receiving support across all office programs ensuring timely and effective delivery of equipment and support media to global destinations.
Time Well Spent
Maintain documentation of shipping and receiving records.Maintain standard operating procedures and transportation plans in support of overall program management plans. Coordinate with international partners, internal NGA offices, and external DoD, IC, and commercial stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods. Assure shipment adherence and compliance with all applicable security requirements and national and international customs and health and safety regulations.Receive new items and maintain accurate records of receipt and transport.Prepare items for shipment and/or fielding and coordinate shipment via most efficient methods.Coordinate receipt in partner locations.Prepare for project specific transportation plans; assuring compliance with all security, health and safety and customs regulations.
Qualified Candidate
Experience in providing international logistical support in a USG classified environment.Understanding of USG and Intelligence Community policies for transporting classified material.Experience working with Intelligence Community and/or DoD transportation services.
Exceptional Candidate
Knowledge of unique national requirements (fumigation, customs, etc.) for shipments to partner nations.Knowledge of packing and shipping methods.Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and detail oriented.Coordinate across multiple Intelligence Community and DoD organizations.Knowledge of warehouse procedures.
