DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Are you an Systems Engineer looking to solve complex systems integration and engineering issues within the USAF Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapon Systems? You can find that challenge as a Senior Systems Security Engineer on the CROWS program.
As a Senior System's Security Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Focusing on ensuring cyber security and resiliency is incorporated in the weapons systems design process via the Systems Engineering (SE) process,
Supporting development of SSE artifacts and acquisition templates for inclusion in SE processes.
Assisting in the development of a requirements construct to help USAF programs interpret and scope system security, acquisition security, and cybersecurity and resilience requirements.
Leveraging NIST security controls, FAA direction, and other inputs to inform system security requirements.
Perform technical analyses, conduct research, and use technical management principles to assess impacts to DoD and USAF systems engineering and acquisition policies and processes; and provide recommendations for improvement.
The candidate selected should be experienced and successful at solving complex system integration and engineering issues, enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our customers. Work location is at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH and sit within AFLCMC/EZS CROWS LOA2 office.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree and fifteen (15) years of experience is required.
Candidate should have a foundational understanding of DoD weapon system acquisition and system Life Cycle Systems Engineering processes.
Position requires technical background in development of weapons system/platform avionics and/or software. Position requires expertise and experience in systems security engineering in one or more security specialty areas, such as Cybersecurity, Cyber Resilience, Anti-Tamper protection, Supply Chain Risk Management, Software Assurance, and Hardware Assurance.
The selected applicant should have knowledge of Air Force Assessment and Authorization (A&A) cybersecurity process and current DoD cyber security requirements.
US Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and retain the designated Government clearance (TOP SECRET). Must have an active TS clearance on the first day of the job.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education is a Master's degree in Engineering with twenty (20) years of experience is preferred. Interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information; Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say; Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements; Facilitation skills, to lead requirements elicitation workshops; Observational skills, to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation; Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to customers, marketing, managers, and technical staff; Organizational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information; Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and engineering).
