DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Background on Client
The mission of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) is to provide research, development, test and evaluation, analysis, systems engineering, integration and certification of complex naval warfare systems related to surface warfare, strategic systems, combat and weapons systems associated with surface warfare. It provides system integration and certification for weapons, combat systems and warfare systems. NSWCDD supports operations other-than-war, homeland defense, chemical-biological warfare protection, counter-terrorism, and counter-narcoterrorism. NSWCDD is a specialty site for human systems integration in ship systems design and home to the Navy's premier chemical, biological and radiological defense lab. Through the years, Dahlgren established itself as the major testing area for naval guns and ammunition. Today, it continues to provide the military with testing and certification using its Potomac River Test Range in Dahlgren, VA, and provides Fleet support at NSWCDD Dam Neck Activity, overlooking the Virginia Capes Fleet Operations Area, Virginia Beach, VA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mid-Level Analyst will on-site at NSWCDD and will perform the following Warfare and Mission Analysis support tasks: (1) Support NSWCDD V12 Team by performing Warfare and Mission Analysis in support of systems aboard the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) and US Coast Guard ships; (2) Support the Government Cost Team in the preparation, documentation, and presentation of analysis; (3) Research and gather baseline understanding of LCS systems; (4) Create baseline/standard scenarios templates; (5) Create run matrices of LCS scenario runs; (6) Coordinate with POCs for necessary data inputs and review; (7) Post-process and analyze output; and, (8) Create summary documents/presentations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Math, Engineering, or other technical field from a four-year college or university with a minimum of three years industry experience. Experience working for, or supporting, DoD acquisition programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project applications.
Specific Task-Related Experience includes: (1) Knowledge of or ability to learn the Fleet Assessment model for the Comparison of Tactical Systems (FACTS); (2) Experience with management consulting services; (3) Strong coordination skills and ability to excel in a cross-functional team environment; (4) Excellent communication skills with both technical and nontechnical audiences; comfortable speaking to large groups of people; and, (5) Strong planning, organizing, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
U.S. Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and retain the designated Government clearance (Secret). Must have, or be able of obtain, a Secret clearance.
