DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
MCR Federal, LLC has an immediate opening for a Senior Director of Business Development to join their Team based in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of, but not limited to, most of the following; Army Material Command, PEO Aviation, PEO Missiles, AMCOM, AMRDEC, SMDC, and MDA.
This detail oriented individual will report to the Vice President of Defense and Intel Programs and will be a fully integrated member of the leadership team of the Southeast Operations business portfolio.
Responsibilities include the execution and management of all aspects of business development and capture including: market research, strategy, account planning, proposal efforts, opportunity identification and qualification, gate reviews, pursuit team identification, capture leadership, customer call plans, teaming and strategic partnerships.
Work collaboratively with the Southeast Operations team to build and maintain a detailed account plan for the US Army that illustrates a clear understanding of Redstone Arsenal, their tenant agencies, their business needs and drivers, decision-making processes, and buying behavior.
Support the growth of MCR corporate relationships to enhance market recognition across customer and industry while improving opportunity identification, qualification and partnership formation.
Conduct targeted research to identify clients, sector opportunities, and competition in support of business development.
Develop & maintain targeted MCR briefings & marketing literature to ensure valid and accurate content is being presented to potential customers and partners.
Work with the Southeast Operations management team to identify, pursue, capture, and partner on opportunities in alignment with the business unit's strategic plan.
Maintain and grow the Southeast Operations opportunity pipeline to include accurate opportunity descriptions, values, timelines, competition & positioning.
Conduct accurate and complete Gate Reviews throughout the opportunity lifecycle from Pursuit Decision through Bid/No Bid Decision.
Facilitate the execution of all Non-Disclosure and Teaming Agreements.
Function as Business Development and Capture Lead throughout the Capture and Proposal Process. Work collaboratively with MCR assigned Operations Lead and Proposal Manager through the completion of all proposal activities.
Active participation in all Pricing and Color Team Reviews to ensure that MCR is presenting the voice of the customer along with a compliant and competitive proposal.
Regular attendance and active participation at customer industry days and contractor/industry association events along with chapter/event leadership participation where there is increased exposure and customer access as a result of MCR participation.
Coordinate events for the Southeast Operations team as needed, including meetings, speaking engagements, seminars, trade shows and exhibits.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
15 years of proven business development and capture experience in pursuit of Army programs in excess of $50 million.
Ability to manage and coordinate work across multi-disciplinary teams.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint collaboration tools.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts and solutions effectively.
Must be detail oriented, organized, a strategic thinker and team player.
Must be available to travel as required.
BD Process Knowledge/Experience (GovWin IQ, CRM, Market Analysis
Price-to-Win Assessments).
Knowledge of Army Market/Industry Base.
US Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and retain the designated Government clearance (Secret). Must have an active Secret
