Job Description:

Overview:
ASSETT, Inc. Systems Analyst - Submarine Sonar in the Norfolk, VA area. Performs variety of activities in support of functional areas for a specific project/business/technical unit. Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources. Compiles, reviews and analyzes data. Uses software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations. May design processes to enhance work flow. Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:
1) Perform Pre/Post Deployment Maintenance Assessments (PDMAs) for US Navy submarines.
2) Compile and analyze data from the PDMAs and report findings to government officials.
3) Provide recommendations and improvements to existing submarine systems, and suggestions for new systems to be produced.
4) Provide technical expertise in relation to submarine mechanical and electronic/electrical systems.
5) Create PDMA-related work. Maintain PDMA TCN database.

Education and Experience:
Three (3) years of full-time experience in submarine, electrical, or electronics systems and equipment acquisition and life cycle support.

Possess knowledge of:
(1) DoD/Navy systems and program acquisition
(2) Navy systems requirements, standards, and procedures
(3) Navy procurement and acquisition
(4) Navy configuration management, data management, and program management

Three (3) years of full-time experience in Navy programs acquisition and life cycle support.

Must be able to analyze relationships of diverse data elements to generate Ad Hoc reports, programs and queries. Must have advanced knowledge of MS Office products, ie, Excel, Access, Word, etc.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
