As a member of the team, your responsibilities include:
-Collaboration with web developers and software engineers to integrate Java into SDR and SDN communications system design.
-Design, build, test and deploy JAVA based application software.
-Conduct software analysis, programming, testing and debugging.
-Identifying production and non-production application issues.
-Work with and/or lead project teams to satisfy operational requirements for SW systems.
-Lead new advances in SDR and SDN interface engineering and novel application of telecommunication standards, protocols and topologies.
Service-oriented architectures and microservice development and integration.
This is a full time position in Springfield, VA. Will consider alternate locations or telecommuting provisions. Now available and interviewing!
REQUIRED:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related discipline, and 4 years of related experience; 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
-Subject matter expert in Java based web services development.
-Experience integrating with and creating Java based rest API's.
-Good verbal and writing skills with attention to detail and ability to create technical documentation and plans.
CLEARANCE:
-Abiility to attain security clearance.
PREFERRED: Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following
-Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related discipline and 8 or more years of related experience.
-Experience applying concepts, theories, and methods for designing, analyzing, testing, and integrating relational databases, SQL and ORM.
-Knowledge of J2EE framework, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, JSP, EJB, XML, X Query, and XSL.
-Development experience with Docker containers and the use of Docker swarms and Kubernetes clusters.
-Demonstrated expertise with computer networking Protocols (e.g., TCP/UDP/IP, RTP, MPLS, NDN) and Technologies (e.g., distributed systems, Internet of Things, real-time systems, routing and switching).
-Knowledge of Software Defined Radio (SDR) frameworks and standards such as Software Communications Architecture (SCA), GNU Radio, REDHAWK and X-Midas.
-Demonstrated capability in Scientific Programming (e.g., JAVA, Assembly Language, C, C++, CSH/BASH Shell scripting, JSON, Matlab, Python, Ruby).
