Job Description
In support of our Enterprise Communications Services program, GDIT seeks a skilled Senior Splunk Content Developer that will deliver impactful contributions that will be highly visible throughout the DoDIIS Enterprise. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the analysis, development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of IT Operations focused content (dashboards, reports, apps, etc...) within Enterprise Splunk. The candidate must be an excellent communicator and have experience with Splunk, as well as, other data visualization and analytic technologies.
Supported technologies and products include: Javascript, Python, Splunk, HTML, and CSS.
Functional duties consist of:
Soliciting, validating, and converting functional user requirements into Splunk apps and solutions. Developing and implementing Splunk advanced queries, dashboards, and reports. Developing and implementing Advanced visualizations via Javascript. Defining and developing standards as a Splunk Knowledge Manager to ensure consistent naming of objects, reports, etc... Reviewing and Tuning Splunk content to ensure efficient operation of search activity for IT Operations users and stakeholders. Developing and conducting tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements. Coordinating with Enterprise Splunk Infrastructure team in the collection of data sources as required. Providing Access and other back-end requirements for IT Operations content to the Enterprise Splunk Infrastructure team. Providing guidance and work leadership to less-experienced Splunk Content creators and may have supervisory responsibility. Serving as a technical team or task lead as required. Serving as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met. Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participating in special projects as required. Must have an IAT III Certification.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
Qualifications
8-10 years of related experience.
