Work Integration and Certification Specialist

Position Summary:
As Work Integration and Certification Specialist, you will have overall responsibility for all integration and certification products for assigned availabilities, to include timely and accurate reporting of Key Event status and completion.

Contract Requirements: Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Review the specification packages for potential conflicts within the individual job and other tasks/jobs being executed at the same time. Review proposed work items and government direction for accuracy, adequacy and applicability. Incorporate Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) strategies into production schedules and assist in identifying and mitigating potential conflicts. Support all production and progress meetings for assigned availabilities to include attendance of meetings with trades, subcontractors and customers (i.e. MARMC, MSC). Support in-house processes and procedures development, including managing file structure and template development for current and future work. Update schedules weekly to include date changes, progress, and work scope additions/deletions/modifications (i.e. RCCs/RTRs/RFPs). Provide weekly reports to admin for submission to customer. May be asked to provide training to other employees on Visual Basic troubleshooting, Excel macro development, and other related topics. Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Required Education, Skills, and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Five years of experience in ship repair industry or equivalent combination of Degree from Maritime Institute and on-the-job experience. Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and with outside customers. Communication skills must be effective both orally and in writing, and candidate must possess the ability to speak in a large group setting. Must have the ability to train others. Must have experience working with Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, Visual Basic and Outlook. Physical Demands and Expectations: Office and shipboard environment; duties of this job require the mobility to visit jobsites when required. Requires occasional climbing and lifting up to 25 lbs. Must also be able to sit for long periods of time to perform detailed review of program essential information. Occasional exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection.
