Logistics Technician
Life Cycle Engineering is seeking an experienced Logistics Technician who possesses the skill-sets for identifying and validating logistics products related to ship alterations and maintenance.

Contract Requirements: Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will: Perform CDMD-OA analyzing of completed work files from planning yards for completeness and accuracy. Develop Configuration Overhaul (COP) Planning files in CDMD-OA for new SCD's for all classes of ships. Perform through CDMD-OA SCLSIS maintenance as directed by the CDM (Configuration Data Manager) including locations, APL's, among others. Required Skills: Must be able to read and interpret Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) for configuration worthy equipment. Must be familiar with Ship Configuration and Logistics Support Information (SCLSIS) Technical Specification. Must be familiar with record types, terms, and fields in each record type. Proficient in the use of Navy computer programs NDE, FEDLOG, LOGI-QUEST, TDMIS, GDAPL, PMS Viewer. Must be able to complete CDMD-OA training course or have a NSLC certificate. Education & Experience: High School Diploma. Minimum 6 years' US Navy experience in the operation and maintenance of shipboard equipment. Minimum 2 years' experience in data entry into computer. Experience in developing or updating logistics documentation. Physical Demands & Expectations: Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 75 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment This position description represents a summary of the major components and requirements of the outlined job.
