Director of Reliability Services

Position Summary:

As Director of Reliabilty Services, you will lead and support local business development and sales in the Houston and surrounding area and be responsible for the successful engagement and implementation of projects focused on the Oil, Gas, Chemical, and other area industrial clients. You will lead the regional office and directly supervise project resources to ensure project success and employee morale.

The ideal candidate will have strong background in the aforementioned industries with a focus on Asset Management, Reliability Engineering, Process Safety, and other industry regulations and requirements. Must be aggressive in the pursuit of new business while working directly with our regional and corporate sales teams.

You will have sufficient interaction with the project teams and client's team members to provide first-hand performance evaluation and coaching and work closely with both Directors of the Institute and Services, other Senior Directors and RCG Leadership team members to make personnel assignments and manage schedules. Business development activities include finding new clients in the Houston and surrounding area, expanding scope of current work, finding opportunities at other sites, etc. These are essential activities in this role, but they cannot interfere with the primary responsibility of successful engagement/advocate client responsibilities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Sell and maintain an order book of >$4MM on average annually Meet or exceed the following utilization targets: >40 % on (multiple) client engagements, strategizing, coaching, managing projects, ensuring outstanding delivery and client satisfaction and upselling current projects 45% utilization selling new client engagements, both to new client and or new existing client sites 5% administrative Keep CRM current with all opportunities, using the gated project management process and procedures Remain knowledgeable in all LCE offerings, best practices, and work processes Ensure conformance with all of LCE's and RCG's practices, processes, and procedures Identify and quantify client issues Articulate the features of our service offerings that address specific client issues Explain the benefits of our unique solution/value differentiators Demonstrate proof of our products and services Perform/lead Rx and Asset Management opportunity assessments Design/craft client-specific solutions with business case: economic benefits and payback schedule Persuasively convince clients of our value and sell them on our findings and recommendations, using the business case to sell our value, not rates Structure the engagements, using a project execution plan that ensures highest return on investment for the clients and the highest utilization for LCE Manage the implementation recommendations/solutions so that the client receives the necessary resources to be successful, exceeding the benefits promised in the recommendations Maintain the relationship with the client by keeping them informed of engagement progress and coach client to make timely, relevant decisions to ensure engagement success Sustain client relationship once the engagement is completed, informing clients of new products and service that will add value to their organization Leverage the client's advocacy for new LCE clients and/or engagements Required Education, Skills, and Experience: 5+ years of Houston area experience with multiple clients, a known individual within the defined market More than 15 years of industry experience Executive/engineering level presentation skills More than 10 years of experience in selling, leading, and implementing consulting and services projects ($100K - 2MM++) across multiple plants/divisions Work/Best Practice development and implementation experience in industrial setting Reliability experience from the holistic perspective: processes, people, systems, etc. (29 element model, not just equipment reliability) Strong knowledge and experience in the following areas: Maintenance Quality Operations Plant financial analysis and business case development Logistics Plant start-up In-depth consulting/engagement knowledge and experience in the following areas: Oil &Gas Chemicals Energy/Power Must possess a balance of technical ability, strong work ethic, written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, and dynamic people skills Must be able to relate to the client's multi-level management Must be able to establish professional and personal relationships with all position stakeholders; a person of high character and humility that easily establishes credibility within RCG and client organizations Must become Prosci-certified Change Management Professional within one year Ability to understand prospective clients' business challenges, define a consultative solution and persuade prospective clients to choose LCE's solution above all others High comfort level working with multiple organizational levels within client and partner organizations Strong financial and data analysis skills, including the ability to develop consultative solutions and corresponding cost benefit business case for engagement and present findings in a concise, thorough and informative manner Strong interpersonal skills both verbal and written Strong decision-making ability while handling a high volume of work with accuracy and efficiency Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project Physical Demands and Expectations: Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required in both an industrial and office environment Flexibility to travel up to 60 - 70% of the time, including international travel Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax, scanner and other office equipment This position description represents a summary of the major components and requirements of the outlined job.
