Multiple tiers of support

The System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) technician's primary

responsibilities include providing technical support and deployment of software on
clients and servers throughout the Air Force enterprise environment.

The successful candidate will provide enterprise level technical support in SCCM and
patch management. The SCCM technician will act as one of the primary patch
technicians in an enterprise (greater than 3000 users) environment using advanced technical
troubleshooting tools and applications for problem resolution for the enterprise.

Required qualifications include: Excellent problem solving, customer service, and
professional written communications skills. Must possess the ability to work
independently and as part of a team of SCCM technicians. Candidate will have the
ability to actively participate in team projects and goals by proposing and implementing
solutions.

Occasional weekend or shift work may be required.

Job Requirements
Must have 1 to 4 years working experience supporting, maintaining and administering core Microsoft technologies in a Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 environment. Experience with SCCM/SMS or related patching products in an enterprise environment. Solid understanding of client/server systems to include Windows Server 2008/2012, and networking fundamentals. A strong knowledge and technical proficiency managing enterprise environments using Microsoft (SCCM) and SQL- both management and querying. Be able to troubleshoot SCCM effectively and understand the patch management, software distribution and logging processes. Have strong skills using Microsoft Management technologies, to include Active Directory services (AD) and Windows Server Update Skills (WSUS) skills.

Creating Batch files Understanding SCCM/WSUS log files Deploying Software in a WSUS environment SCCM Components Building Queries\Collections Creating Packages\Advertisements Using SQL to build Reports Troubleshooting SCCM clients SCCM Permissions Clustering, scripting e.g. VB or PowerShell, WMI and IIS. Virtualization of operating systems and applications (VMware, VSphere, App-V).
Certifications Required
These positions require the candidate to have or be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. An active Secret clearance is highly desirable. Must be certified in accordance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II approved baseline certifications prior to start date. Additional industry certifications may be required within specific time frames.
