Valdez International Corporation a major Aerospace / Defense contractor has positions available on its Air Force IAFNOS contract.

The Successful Network System Administrator applicant will have the following qualifications.

The candidate needs a solid understanding of client/server networking and intranet/internet technology fundamentals. Additionally, the candidate needs a strong background in the operation and management of Microsoft Windows Server Networks; to include COTS & GOTS government applications.

Applicant must possess knowledge and demonstrated technical proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, preferably in an enterprise environment (>3000 users). The successful candidate must have a strong background in TCP/IP, PKI, and other protocols including the use of troubleshooting tools.

This project operates 24x7x365 operations, day, evening, night and weekend shifts. Candidates must be willing to work shifts and occasionally be on-call.

Key Responsibilities
Configure and manage a Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 network. Ensure the infrastructure integrates seamlessly with all components including network, security, and messaging, remote access and virtualized environments. Establish and follow best practices for supporting the Windows Infrastructure; i.e. following the DoD STIG guidelines when building, configuring, and maintaining all client/server assets. Participate in the entire life-cycle (planning, deployment, and maintenance) of critical IT services.

Requirements: at least 3 years working experience with the following.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications and Services (IIS, DNS/DHCP, WINS). In-Depth understanding of Active Directory delegation and security models. Experience managing production Windows Servers used to support multiple mission critical initiatives. Thorough knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, Server 2003/2008/2016. Ability to configure and manage Active Directory DNS and DHCP. Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory 2003/2008/2016 domains and forests in global organizations. Solid understanding and experience of and with Active Directory and all tools used to maintain the health of a large domain. Previous experience in a Microsoft Enterprise Environment. Knowledge of Microsoft operating platforms, Microsoft Exchange, System Center, and other associated office applications. Preferred skills and Certifications Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 2012 or greater. Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2013, or 2016 skills preferred.
Requirements
Candidate must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) clearance level of Secret prior to start date. Candidate must be certified in accordance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II approved baseline certifications prior to start date (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, etc.). Additional industry certifications may be required within specific time frames.
