SUMMARY
The Systems Engineer will provide support in three broad functional areas. These include Requirements Identification, Systems Engineering and Program Management Support. Requirements Identification includes the gathering and analysis of Aegis weapon systems functional specifications that result in the identification of both equipment and software application programs necessary to establish Laboratories to meet facility user test requirements. The position is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or union.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Gather and investigate tactical requirements from customers. Research requirements using web tools, internet, Aegis Weapons System Design documentation and Points of Contact. Provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and develop Local Change Notice (LCN) to support requirement. Package may contain items such as Floor plans, Power and Cooling, Data Cable Build/Install List, and Equipment Interconnecting Diagrams. Develop and maintain AutoCAD and Visio drawings. These include but are not limited to Tactical, Commercial and Network Roadmaps, Building Floor maps, Rack Elevation, Hotel Services, and Security. Maintain Engineering Databases as required. Develop and maintain PowerPoint Briefs as required. Provide Engineering assistance to Configuration Management Group, Tactical Operations Group, Network Operation Group, and Commercial Systems Group. Contact vendors and get quotes for supplies or services required to support facilities requirements. Participate in meetings with customer, users and vendors. Must be able to work independently or in a team and be willing to interact with all levels of the organization. Must be proficient with the following Microsoft Office products: Word Power Point Excel Access Visio Project
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May require occasional travel. Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. The Systems Engineer (SE) shall have six (6) years of experience in facility and computer system design, network design, and engineering of tactical weapon systems components. Must have or be able to attain a Secret DOD security clearance. Experience with AutoCAD or Visio.

Additional Qualifying Factors:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results. May be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have or be eligible for security clearances. May require occasional travel.
