SUMMARY
Computer Specialist (CS) must have two years of experience in data management and/or information management. The CMS shall have strong verbal and written communication skills. The position is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or union.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Place and track Navy Marine Corp Intranet (NMCI) seat orders and monitor delivery of assets Learn the Contract Line Item Number (CLINs) items on the contract and help users evaluate and place orders based on the NMCI CLINs Document and track NMCI Move, Add, Change (MAC) Requests Support IT data calls for DIO, DoD, Navy, NAVSEA, NETWARCOM, NSWCDD Coordinate and assist in the deployment of both unclassified and classified NMCI seats Assist users with NMCI issues, data calls and ordering Support the submission and tracking of data required for application entries into Dept of Defense Application Database Management System (DADMS) Attend Monthly UIT meetings and other meetings as required Develop and maintain IT approval documentation (ITPRs)for IT procurements that adheres to Navy formats and standards Interfacing with government personnel to help document the purchase correctly for review and approval Use local applications, Base IT approval Database, 508 Database Provide support to the Department Information Officer and Deputy Department Information Officer as required. Develop and maintain Media Transfer Agent (MTA) and HBSS Exception request approval documentation that adheres to Navy formats and standards Track and maintain department IA workforce certifications and documentation for the DIO.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
6 months experience in the computer and peripheral operation and maintenance of equipment of the type listed in the PWS. A training certificate may be substituted for experience. Demonstrate a familiarity with Information Technology (IT) and network operations.
Desired A+ or Network+ certification
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
The Computer Specialist should be familiar with NMCI, IT and enterprise architecture standards and policies. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
