Overview
Mission
Serve in support of the Strategic Mobility division for HQDA G-4, providing operational, analytical, and technical support to ensure that the ODCS, G-4 efficiently and effectively executes its policy, programming, oversight, and develops plans in support of the Army’s strategic mobility requirements.
Execution
The contractor will provide analytical and technical support required to achieve the force projection and distribution policy of the Army G-4. Provide analysis and technical recommendations relating to a wide range of Army force projection issues. Possess a broad range of knowledge, skills, and experience in all aspects of strategic mobility and be able to perform high-level analyses. Initiate and ensure effective communication, coordination and follow-up actions from a variety of sources. Be proficient with utilizing Microsoft Office suite of software to include but not limited to Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook to enable the completion of briefings, reports, and presentations on a daily basis. Be a partner to provide analytical support and to collect and compile data in support of Army strategic mobility requirements.
In addition, the contractor shall act as technical specialist for transportation and strategic mobility and provide input for development of deployment and redeployment policy, guidance and doctrine; coordinate review, and provide input into strategic documents, regulatory documents, and DOD and Army regulations. The contractor shall support the Army G-4 when coordinating and resolving strategic mobility issues with the Joint Staff, Service staffs, Army Command staffs, Army Service Component Command (ASCC) staffs, and Direct Reporting Units (DRU) staffs by providing recommendations and constructive comments to improve Joint and Army force projection doctrine and regulations.
The contractor shall attend meetings, briefings, operational planning teams, working groups, and other events that contribute to policy, programming, oversight, and developing plans in support of the Army’s strategic mobility requirements. The contractor shall be prepared to attend training and conduct TDY in execution of duties in support of Army strategic mobility requirements. (e.g. offsite training, watercraft and rail summits, offsite confluence of transportation / mobility logistics staff, etc.) The contractor shall assist in ensuring deployment process standardization across the Army Staff, Army Command (ACOMs), Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs) and Direct Reporting Units (DRUs). The contractor shall provide recommendations and input assisting in the development of the Army G-4 position for meetings which affect the planning, budgeting, and implementation of strategic mobility projects.
Responsibilities
The contractor shall research, staff, prepare correspondence or briefings, plan, assist, provide recommendations, and execute initiatives to improve on all AP3 topics. The AP3 umbrella covers initiatives such as but not limited to the: Army Deployment Process (ADP), Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS), Army Watercraft Systems (AWS), Army Rail, Private Public Partnerships (PPP), Installation Status Report (ISR), Logistics Information Systems (LIS), and the Logistics Readiness Centers (LRC) Work Group. The contractor shall evaluate and analyze readiness status reporting data from the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Army (DRRS–Army) family of systems.
The contractor shall document discrepancies between current transportation / mobility systems capabilities and current validated requirements. The contractor shall be prepared to write reports and draft correspondence on these issues. The contractor shall assist in the preparation of quarterly readiness reports, data, and narratives for Sustainment measures and sub-measures as reported in the Army Strategic Readiness Assessment (ASRA). The contractor shall monitor and assess strategic mobility impacts and capabilities on current military operations. The contractor shall assess current Army policies, regulations and develop recommendations for changes that incorporate process improvements. 15The contractor shall possess skill in planning, organizing, conducting and managing high level DOD meetings.
Requirements
This position requires an individual with 12 plus years of experience in Army Logistics at various levels.

Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree with 12 years’ professional experience required
Requires a SECRET DoD security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
