Job Description:

As a Senior Communications Support Specialist/ Analyst, the candidate will be responsible to assist in the development and implementation of an annual strategic communication strategy review and modification; draft key messaging documents to consistently communicate the strategic vision and messages of the DoD Transition to Veterans Program Office (TVPO). The candidate will work directly with TVPO congressional / Legislative and public affairs offices to ensure TVPO leadership is synchronized with DoD overall messages during engagements external to DoD.

He/she operates as a critical thinker, attention to detail oriented, to independently research DoD policy processes, military regulatory and statutory transition requirements to assist program managers to ensure compliance with all policy and legislative requirements by providing professional products (including but not limited to briefings, reports, videos, brochures, scripts, social media posts, media articles, speeches, and congressional responses) that strategically communicate inter-agency concerns to high senior level government and executive officials. The candidate will prepare, staff, and coordinate approved messages and messaging strategies. He/she will develop and recommend (through briefing TVPO leadership) strategic messages/messaging strategies on a consistent basis.

The candidate will be expected to provide strategic messaging guidance and training to the TVPO staff on an annual basis. He/she will also be able to support graphic development for logos, slick sheets, briefings, curriculum, visual display of messages, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must hold active Secret Clearance
- Three or more (3+) years of experience in communications support; DoD / OSD experience with GO/SES leadership level preferred
-Bachelor's degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
- NACLC Required

Commensurate with experience
