ESSENTIAL AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
All areas of responsibility listedbelow are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position, withreasonable accommodation, if necessary.Work responsibilities may vary, depending upon assignment.
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Thisposition supports the SAFTAS II Programs.
Support Secretariat program oversight, analysis and policydevelopment.Analyze international, defense and non-defense perspectivesregarding logistics management.Coordinate with other Federal agencies to shape policies anddirectives.Develop implementation plans and policies with current vision,goals and objectives for logistics.Develop in-depth strategic analysis and make recommendationsregarding the alignment of logistics management governance structures.Prepare AF input for congressional and OSD reporting requirements,to include: Annual Reports to Congress and Congressional Staffer Dayengagements.Prepare and analyze AF policies for compliance with OSD and otheragencies' regulations and Executive Branch administration policies.Monitor and analyze progress toward end-state goals for logisticsmanagement.Provide analysis that informs the oversight of program executionrelated to AF logistics interests.Plans, develops and implements customer service functions,physical distribution warehousing, production, supply chain management andtraffic strategies.Establishes and executes policies, programs and procedures tosupport market delivery requirements.Manages the ongoing distribution functions and appropriateinterfaces.Creates physical distribution network capable of achieving properinventory levels to support inventory and production objectives.Establishes physical distribution centers. Identifies hardware andsoftware.Manages all distribution functions and interfaces including orderentry, stocking, shipping and receiving. Assures that materials, parts and assemblies are stored in anefficient manner and that shipments are prepared in accordance with company specifications.Support program-specific efforts like Concept of Operations(CONOPS) development, Capability Development Documents (CDD), CapabilityProduction Documents (CPD), Information Exchange Requirements (IER), andrequirements working groups. Support the HAF review process – Air Force Requirements OversightCouncil (AFROCs), Joint Warfighting Capabilities Assessment (JWCAs), DefenseAcquisition Boards (DABs), Congressional cycle, Acquisition Strategy Panels(ASPs), Air Force Review Board (AFRBs), Configuration Steering Board (CSB),Government Accountability Office (GAO) reports.Establishes budgets for departments supervised and implementcontrols necessary to keep expenditures within budgetary limitations.Follow policies and procedures as described in corporate manualsand directives.Attend each work day during core hours, unless on approved travelor time off. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees andorganizations.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Perform occasional travel to contractor and customer sites, asrequired.Work is performed indoors with some potentialrisks to safety and health hazards related to electronics.QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise. Develops technical solutions to complex problems. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Bachelor's with 8 - 10 years of experience, or a Master's with 6 - 8 years of experience. Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).Must be able to transport self tovarious facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a validdriver's license and proof of insurance.

Physical Skills And Abilities:
