Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of information technology projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job. Incumbent may perform one or more of the following duties.)a. Provides supervisory, technical, and administrative direction to project staff.b. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.c. Responsible for scheduling and allocating work, scope of authority, providing advice and guidance and coordinating operational activity on a continuing basis to satisfy specific task requirements.d. Provides advice, guidance, and training to subordinates; and recommends personnel actions for hiring firing, promotion, transfers, and salary adjustments.e. Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing require-ments, and allotment of resources to various phases of project.f. Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.g. Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.h. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and plans as required.i. Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues.j. Monitors project results against technical specifications.k. Develops and maintains technical and project documentation.l. Provides problem resolution on information systems problems.SUPERVISION/FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:a. Supervisory Responsibility - Supervises contract/project staff as assigned.b. Supervision Received - Reports to the Senior Project Manager or the Division Manager with latitude for independent action consistent with requirements of position. Work is subject to review for objectives achieved, soundness of judgment and overall adequacy.c. Financial Responsibility -

Required Qualifications:
Associates degree and 11 years' experience or Bachelor's degree and 9 years' experience or master's degree and 7 years' experience or combination of 13 years which may include education specialized training certifications and or experience and 10 years' experience leading 20 or more employees. Relevant education experience must be an IT discipline related to the assigned program area ( e.g. , network engineering, network management, computer science, information systems, computer or software engineering, management information systems, computer for Forensic/Security, etc.), DOD Computing Environment, Security+ ( or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT ll) and at least one certification in the project management field. Ability to obtain /maintains
