The Sr. Systems Administrator, (Redhat) will have the following responsibilities: Provide Subject Matter Expertise for Redhat / Linux providing Tier 2 & 3 technical support and IA compliance.
Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware / software and related infrastructure. Investigate and troubleshoot issues; provide Tier III/other support to customer-base. Handle issues / daily tasks associated with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Systems Security, Group Policy, following established rules and processes. Handle tickets / issues related to Active Directory Domain, File and Folder Security, and Enterprise Domain Policies. Documents configuration and maintains the baseline of the system. Supports System Administration Engineering and Provisioning; participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Manage Windows Deployment Services (WDS) to deploy baseline images for Workstations and Servers, maintain deployable images on a regular basis to insure they are up to date. Provide technical support to special projects coordinating across several departments and must manage several projects at a time. Manage patching solutions such as Windows Update Services (WUS) to sustain the environment; keep environment up to date with mandated security patches and hot fixes. Work with end users to install and configure specialized applications that may require changes to system baselines to operate. Document and manage the changes through a standard Configuration Management work flow to establish any changes to the risk/compliance posture of the system and present for approval to the appropriate Configuration Management Board.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's from an accredited university in related field and eight (8) years of experience in Information Technology (IT). Three (3) years of Redhat / UNIX (C&A) experience. Security Certificate: Security , CISSP, CASP, CISM or SSCP (within six months of hire). Operating System Certificate in Redhat (within six months of hire). Security Clearance: Secret
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker, DISA STIGS and SRR (scripts). DIACAP / RMF experience (a plus). Previous experience as a System Administrator; experience as a Network Engineer (a plus). Demonstrate the ability to supervise, direct, review, and otherwise coordinate all work performed by the Contractor's staff and subcontractor's management organization. Project Management Professional (PMP) and ITIL certification (highly desirable).
