KBRwyle’s Prepositioning and Marine Corps Logistics Services (P&MCLS) program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.
We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Motor Transport Equipment for our Kuwait location.
Position Responsibilities
A Heavy Equipment Mechanic under supervision will be capable of maintaining, servicing, inspecting and repairing all Marine Corps variants of tactical motor transport vehicles, trailers and comparable vehicles such as light combat vehicles, as well as other medium and heavy motor transport equipment (HMMWV, MTVR, LVSR, MRAP, etc.).
Performs limited technical inspections with the receiving units and upon return of the assets to include the SL-3 inventories. Ensures equipment is Ready For Issue, if necessary identifies the corrective maintenance actions and creates a maintenance service request in Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC). Capable of performing Quality Assurance (QA) inspections on Motor Transportation equipment when maintenance is complete. Will provide technical assistance, guidance, or training to Maintenance Helpers and other mechanics. Operates organic ground motor transportation and material handling equipment to include but not limited to MMV, TRAMs, MTVRs and AMK31s when needed to complete the mission. Ensures hazardous materials used are properly separated, stored, and labeled. May be required, as requested by management, to plan, prioritize and organize section work plans, tasks, verify the work/process is completed, maintain scheduled production data, report work and manpower status and verify accuracy of administrative data. Will be required to enter all maintenance activities performed into the Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
HS diploma or equivalent. Four (4) years directly related experience. Must have completed a program of certification, i.e. assigned the USMC 3521 (3522, 3524) Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) or other service equivalent, ASE certification. Must be able to lift 50 pounds unaided. US Citizen. Proof required. Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Valid state Motor Vehicle Operator License. MUST be able to obtain a finding of "NO RECORD FOUND" on the FBI Background Investigation.
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to operate personal computers, multimedia data entry, and scanning and retrieval systems functions. Understanding of the organization's logistic functions and the activities involved in providing logistical support. Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position. Experience and knowledge of requisitioning requirements utilizing appropriate Stock List, Parts Manuals, and Technical Manuals. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC). Completed an advanced Motor Transportation Mechanic Repair Course or civilian equivalent. Understanding of the organization's logistic functions and the activities involved in providing logistical support. Experience with warranty repair or warranty administration. Additional Information:
Must be willing and able to travel (military airlift) and work in other countries in the region of the Middle East. In addition to meeting KBRwyle employment requirements, the United States Marine Corps has minimal standards of fitness for deployment. Your continued employment is contingent upon your being approved for deployment by the United States Marine Corps, in accordance with their policies and regulations. Most work will be performed in extreme temperatures, employees must be willing and able to work under these conditions as determined by a required physical examination.
