Job Description

Position Title: Licensed Electrician

Working with a team and under the guidance of the Team Lead, Electrician to assist in installing a complete and functional electronic access control system at ~20 geographically disbursed facilities across the country. The focus of this position would be the electrical component of the work, although would assist the Security Installation Technicians when able. This position will include the following general scope of work:

a) Running electrical power to all devices
b) Installing all wiring, fiber optic cable, coaxial wiring, conduit, and connections
c) Access Control, IDS, duress installation and any required physical security system (CCTV, IDS, duress, etc.) tie-ins
d) Floor prep, flooring, walls and ceiling finish work
e) Labeling installed wires, creating wire legends and updating wiring schematics/drawings
f) Working with Conduit, EMT
g) Install electrical outlets
h) Run a variety of tests on the newly installed system, document

This will be a full-time position for the duration of approximately 1 year. This position is 100% travel, and will receive a food and housing allowance every day, including weekends. Equipment-specific training will be provided.

Qualifications

Must currently be a Licensed Electrician in any stateMust be familiar with applicable codes and standards, to include NEC, BOCA, EIA/TIA, ULHave the working knowledge of how to use position specific tools; drills, wire cutter/strippers, long drill bits, glow rods, screwdrivers etc.Advanced knowledge of electrical materials relevant to the installation. This position would be the team Subject Matter Expert concerning Electrical questions. Knowledge of cabling Ability to travel 100% to project locations throughout the US and Island Locations Must be able to lift 50 lbsMust be able to pass background check for access to secure facilities Must have valid driver's licenseAbility to apply Electrical Knowledge in the CCTV, Access Control and Security Systems environment
Specific/Special Expertise Desired:

Experience with Digi*Trac Access Control Configuration Software is a huge plus
Experience training facility staff on newly-installed system is a huge plus
Experience installing access control, intrusion, alarm and CCTV systems in large facilities
Experience with Identiv Access Control equipment
Experience installing Security Access Control Systems, to include:
a) Proximity Card Readers
b) Electric Door Strikes
c) Passive Infrared Detectors
d) Balanced Magnetic Door Switch
e) Controller Panel
f) Power Supply
g) Cipher Lock
