Job Description

Position Title: Lead Security Installation Technician

Lead & Manage a team installing complete and functional electronic access control system at ~20 geographically disbursed facilities across the country. This position will oversee and conduct the following general scope of work, ensuring quality:

Running electrical power to all devicesInstalling all wiring, fiber optic cable, coaxial wiring, conduit, and connectionsAccess Control, IDS, duress installation and any required physical security system (CCTV, IDS, duress, etc.) tie-ins Floor prep, flooring, walls and ceiling finish workLabeling installed wires, creating wire legends and updating wiring schematics/drawings Working with Conduit, EMTInstall electrical outletsRun a variety of tests on the newly installed system, document
This will be a full-time position for the duration of approximately 1 year. This position is 100% travel and will receive a food and housing allowance every day, including weekends. Although this position requires relevant experience, equipment-specific training will be provided.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Previous 2-4 years of security installation experience required. Will consider candidates who have completed a technical school program, received certification in security/surveillance, have experience as an electrician's helper or equivalent.Experience with applicable codes and standards, to include NEC, BOCA, EIA/TIA, ULExperience or ability to train facility staff on newly-installed system Have the working knowledge of how to use position specific tools; drills, wire cutter/strippers, long drill bits, glow rods, screwdrivers etc.Basic knowledge of electrical materialsExperience electronic security system installations or equivalent Knowledge of cabling including: Fiber Optic & Cat5ePC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and the capability to learn manufacturer specific softwareAbility to travel 100% to project locations throughout the US and Island Locations Must be able to lift 50 lbsMust be able to pass background check for access to secure facilities Must have valid driver's licenseKnowledge, skills, or experience in CCTV, Access Control and Security Systems

Specific/Special Expertise Desired:

Experience with Digi*Trac Access Control Configuration Software is a huge plusExperience training facility staff on newly-installed system is a huge plusLicensed Electrician is a huge plusExperience installing access control, intrusion, alarm and CCTV systems in large facilitiesExperience with Identiv Access Control equipment Experience installing Security Access Control Systems, to include:
o Proximity Card Readers
o Electric Door Strikes
o Passive Infrared Detectors
o Balanced Magnetic Door Switch
o Controller Panel
o Power Supply
o Cipher Lock
