Responsibilities
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Photography Intern for an exciting internship opportunity. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

The qualified candidate will become part of the Corporate Communications department. Responsible for photographing corporate events, environmental photography, industrial photography, and corporate portraiture. Will edit images, retouch as needed/directed, and catalogue and metadata images. Will assist in a studio environment, and also on location shoots. The ideal candidate will be able to bring a fresh creative approach to images and be able to work under art direction from creative director.

Qualifications
Performance standards to be successful in this internship position include:
Must be detail oriented. Ability to prioritize tasks and projects. Strong organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time. Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal organizations. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to work within timelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university degree program pursuing Bachelor's degree in Communications, Photography, Graphic Design or related program Experience shooting a variety of photographic styles in a corporate or related environment Experience using Adobe Creative Suite to edit photography for print and web use Experience generating and applying metadata to images, and cataloging them in a digital asset management system Experience with studio photography and on-location lighting Portfolio of work (online ok) Minimum GPA 3.0 US Citizenship required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with Nikon camera systems. Familiar with shooting video and video lighting. Familiar with scheduling photo assignments, including large groups. Ability to arrange and direct individuals and groups for photo sessions. Knowledge of basic industrial safety guidelines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to use a computer to complete activities. Ability to carry and shoot with a professional camera and lighting systems. Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence.
