CDI is seeking a Pipefitter/Brazier for US Navy modernization programs. This is a Full Time position in San Diego, CA/Norfolk, VA. GENERAL DUTIES:
Pipefitting and Brazing of HSS, bi-metallic welds, aluminum, bronze, etc. Measuring, cutting, threading and assembling new pipe. Fitting or assisting in fitting valves, couplings, or assemblies using hand tools. Disassembling and removing damaged or worn pipe. Able to read, understand technical installation drawings. OSHA safety training required.
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High School or Vocational Technical School graduate with two years of shipboard experience. Journeyman level of ability. Job clean up and finishing (painting, sweeping, etc.).
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant will be subject to a security investigation. This position may require an additional background screening for base access. Applicant must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance issued by the US Government.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs. Employee is required to access remote areas of multi-level vessels Must comply with Company's Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
