TASK DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent of this task will test, troubleshoot, and repair Communication (COMM) and Navigational (NAV) systems at the Intermediate Level of maintenance.
TASK REQUIREMENTS:
1. Test, troubleshoot, and repair F/A-18 COMM/NAV systems WRAs and SRAs.
2. Test, troubleshoot, and repair Support Equipment utilized on F/A-18 COMM/NAV systems.
3. Provide on-the-job training to Kuwait Air Force personnel on the operation of test equipment and system repair.
Basic Qualifications
1. Minimum of four years experience repairing electronic equipment, with a minimum of two years experience repairing COMM/NAV systems.
2. Graduate of a COMM/NAV operator/maintainer school.
3. Thorough understanding of electrostatic discharge/damage procedures.
4. Capable of performing miniature component repair on circuit cards.
5. Proficient in digital, analog, and radio frequency systems, to include schematic tracing and electronic safety.
6. Proficient in the use of personal computers and associated software.
7. No security clearance required.
