Title: System Administrator 2
Objective:
The System Administrator will be responsible for providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Program IT Systems in a multi security clearance environment. The System Administrator will manage the program IT system and any processes related to these systems.
Position Overview:
Hours: Full-time, 8am -5 pm work schedule
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI
Assignment: 6 months approx. Duties/Responsibilities:
Configure and manage Windows and Linux operating systems in an information security environment, Support the troubleshooting and remediation of system and hardware problems throughout the resolution process. Provide day to day operations, monitoring, remediation and problem resolution for all client and server and storage devices. Install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability and implement enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Responsible for optimizing system operations and resource utilization and performing system capacity analysis and planning. Mandatory Qualifications:
TS/SCI Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent. Minimum of 3+ years' experience Linux and Windows Networking experience Working in the Cyber Security group
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience with Windows 2016/2013/2008/10/7 system administration. Demonstrated strength with system provisioning, patching, and configuration management of Windows OS using Windows Active Directory, Group Policies, Windows Deployment Toolkit, WSUS, SCCM, or similar software. Competent with implementing and managing Veritas NetBackup v8.0 or similar backup solutions. Demonstrated proficiency with virtualization solutions such as VMware VSphere v6.5, Hyper-V and Linux Kernel-Based Virtual Machine (KVM). Familiarity with HP desktops (Z600, Z620) HP servers (DL 360/380 G9) and Dell servers (R620, R630). Proficiency in configuring storage controllers, such as SmartArray and MegaRAID, controllers. Configuring direct attached storage arrays, fiber and HP proprietary hba's. Understanding of protocols in a Windows/Linux heterogeneous environment e.g. File sharing (SMB, CIFS, NFS), Network Protocols (TLS/SSL, DHCP, DNS, PXE), Authentication (Active Directory, LDAP), etc. Demonstrated experience with scripting (PowerShell, VB, perl, bash). Familiarity with troubleshooting and analyzing Windows OS network issues. Demonstrated proficiency of system and network device security configuration per DOD guidance (DISA STIG, OS and application hardening). Familiarity with security tools including HBSS, ACAS, Splunk (or similar log reduction tools), SCAP scanners, etc. McAfee or similar antivirus installation and management. DOD 8570 IAT I or II security certification required (A+ CE, CCNS-Security, Network+ CE, SSCP, GICSP, GSEC, or Security+ CE). Experience with Splunk or other SEIM tools and/or applications. Supporting systems design, architecture and hardware documentation and topology mapping. Analyzing and resolving complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a variety of technical and non-technical personnel.
