Standard Job Description: Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. Job Description: This requisition is for a Senior Level Test Engineer. This position requires knowledge and experience working with digital and analog electronic circuits, automated test equipment, and software in a manufacturing environment. The individual must have the necessary skills to develop test procedures and methodologies for both digital and analog hardware utilizing Special Test Equipment (STE). The candidate will be responsible for supporting development hardware testing, leading the integration of development hardware into a production test environment, and developing a sustainment plan to maintain testability through a product's life cycle. Throughout the life of a product the applicant will be engaged in creating and analyzing Program Trouble Reports (PTRs) and driving appropriate software/hardware updates to optimize Product Test performance. The candidate will be responsible for developing test plans, and executing those plans against the corresponding test procedures. The applicant will be accountable for the development, release, and maintenance of test procedures. Other responsibilities include STE certification and calibration. Personal characteristics must include dependability, flexibility, adaptability, a self-starter requiring minimal direct supervision, the ability to work both individually and as part of a team, as well as being able to interact and work well with LM employees and internal customers. This is primarily a first shift position. However, any candidate submitted should be prepared, on occasion and driven by business needs, plan for working an off shift or alternate schedule which could contain 2nd or 3rd shift hours and/or weekend work.
POSITION IS FOR A TEST ENGINEER: MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE CLEARANCE OR ONE THAT CAN BE TURNED ON IN 72 HOURS.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:
Basic qualifications for this position include a working knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuitry, basic oscilloscope knowledge, and the ability to perform Root Cause Analysis from the Unit Under Test (UUT) to the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and down to the component level. Applicants must be able to comprehend the Test System and be able to with differentiate between hardware and software issues. Candidates must be proficient in writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) with proper historical justification. Adherence to Quality Procedures within the Product Test Organization is a must. The applicant must have good communication skills with the ability to successfully lead a team. US citizenship is required for this position. Must also accept the schedule which on occasion include off-shift (afternoon, nights, weekends) scheduling to meet business needs.

Desired:
The candidate must possess a working knowledge of Windows-based PCs including but not limited to the following software packages: SAP, EPDM, Microsoft Office Suite, LabView, Operator Interface, Lauterbach, and JIRA. The applicant must retain the ability to troubleshoot circuit card assemblies down to the component level using special test equipment, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other evaluation tools. The applicant will be required to produce well-written technical documents such as test procedures, basis of estimates, and proposals. Basic knowledge of fiber optic handling and evaluation is a plus.
