Title: Software Engineer
Objective:
This is an opportunity to take on unique challenges, expand your skills and experience, and contribute to advance SATCOM mission within the Space Superiority Business Unit in Colorado Springs. Seeking a Software Engineer responsible for the design, development, and integration of application layer software systems. Responsible for end-to-end application development in a modern web based environment with a moderate amount of network messaging and hardware control.
Technologies utilized by the systems are primarily in C++/Java programming.
Position Overview:
Hours: Full-time work schedule
Location: Colorado Springs
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI
Assignment: 6 months approx.
Mandatory Qualifications:
TS/SCI 3+ years with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent C++ JavaScript frameworks (Angular.JS, JQuery) Web Development - Front end and back end Experience in object-oriented design and coding Network Programming Python Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Java Server Pages Experience in Source Control Systems (SVN, ClearCase, others) REST architectures Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (SVN, ClearCase, others) CodeMettle Translator Experience in software engineering life cycle management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Experience with real-time processing. Embedded development and system test experience. Experience with data visualization. Understanding of CMMI Level 3 software development processes and documentation is a plus. Understanding of Agile development practices is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work in a small program environment with good communications skills is preferred
