Title: Software Engineer (Development)
Objective:
Seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain capabilities for existing software products. You will be part of a team that is responsible for assessing, sizing and developing software to enhance and maintain the product set. You will also lead and work with junior engineers.
Ultimately, the main responsibility is to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.
Position Overview:
Hours: Full-time work schedule
Location: Rochester, NY
Clearance Requirement Ability to obtain TS SCI clearance
Assignment: 6 months approx.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Ability to obtain TS SCI clearance
5-10+ years of applicable experience
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or a related field)
Experience developing Java enterprise applications
Experience developing JavaScript web applications
Experience developing in Linux/Unix environment
Familiarity with Git or similar SCM tool
Ability to lead and work with peers and junior software engineers
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Agile software development lifecycle
Experience with OGC compliant services
Experience with RESTful services
Experience with relational databases; Java EE 7 Ext Js 6 Groovy
Able to interact with internal and external customers
