This is an opportunity to take on unique challenges, expand your skills and experience, and contribute to advanced SATCOM mission within the Space Superiority Business Unit in Colorado Springs. This is a customer-facing organization and our top priority is supporting the mission needs.
We are seeking a software engineer to support our Colorado Springs office.
Software Engineer responsible for the design, development, and integration of application layer software systems.
Responsible for end-to-end application development in a modern web based environment with a moderate amount of network messaging and hardware control.
Technologies utilized by the systems are primarily in C++/Java programming.
Required Experience
6+ years with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent.
Must have TS/SCI
Web Development - Front end and back end
C++ and Java
Desired Skills
Experience with C++/Java, and network programming preferred. Experience in object-oriented design and coding skills desired. Experience in software engineering life cycle management. Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (SVN, ClearCase, others) preferred. Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Angular.JS, JQuery). Experience in Python scripting. CodeMettle Translator experience. Embedded development and system test experience. Experience with data visualization. Experience with real-time processing. Experience with REST architectures. Experience with Front and Back-End Web development. Experience with HTML/CSS/Javascript and Java Server Pages. Experience in Source Control Systems (SVN, ClearCase, others). Understanding of CMMI Level 3 software development processes and documentation is a plus. Understanding of Agile development practices is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work in a small program environment with good communications skills is preferred.
