Research Analyst, Clarksburg, WV

PAE has multiple opportunities for a Research Analyst to join our team on our Federal Government contract in Clarksburg, WV.

In this role, you will support our customer’s mission to disseminate information in response to name check requests received from federal agencies, for the purpose of protecting the United States from foreign and domestic threats to national security. Many federal agencies seek background information before bestowing a privilege—whether that privilege is government employment or an appointment, a security clearance, attendance at a White House function, immigration benefits, naturalization, or a visa to visit the United States.

Research Analysts review and analyze potential identifiable documents to determine whether a specific individual has been the subject of or mentioned in any investigation(s), and if so, what information may be disseminated to the requesting agency. Research Analysts also conduct numerous name searches in direct support of the counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and homeland security efforts of our customer.

All Research Analysts attend an on-site, paid, four-week training course which will prepare you to conduct reviews of various databases as well as how to disseminate relevant and requested intelligence in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Please note:

Applicants MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE in order to meet the basic qualifications for this role.
This position is Full Time, M-F from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Basic Qualifications for this position are as follows:

Must successfully complete a comprehensive 7-year criminal and credit history background check.
Must successfully complete a drug screening.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a current, active Top Secret security clearance that is verifiable in JPAS

Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:

Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of related experience. Years of experience can be substituted for education. Separating or former military personnel with related experience are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Computer skills required.
MS Office Suite proficiency.
Must be able to learn new systems and applications.
Must be able to create graphs and charts and draft technical and administrative documents.
Ability to type at least 60 words per minute.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment and relate well to others
Ability to manage individual workflow effectively and improve processes when necessary
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers both in written and verbal communications
Positive attitude focused on customer satisfaction
Ability to show initiative and commitment to the company’s goals
Ability to readily adapt to changing requirements
Strong commitment to performing and producing at the highest level of quality at all times

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects office equipment; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to Lift up to 10 lbs, bend, reach, carry, stoop, kneel, climb, etc.

Work Environment:

The duties of the Research Analyst will be performed in an open office environment with a large personal desk space that is shared between two shifts. This position is generally sedentary.
