Description:Position: Application Engineer III Location: Description: Maintain the database systems and ensure they are managed appropriately and comply with data integrity measures. Review, format and load all files that are submitted to CHESS for sales and order status. This includes writing SQL scripts and batch files to incorporate sales into the database in an effective manner. Responsible to keep an audit trail for files submitted to track and monitor data submissions. Coordinate with vendors and product leaders (PLs) to follow the details presented in the contract management deliverables for numerous different programs/contracts. Ensure the file format for each program will allow for reporting. Continuously update production processes to load new data to incorporate new and changing business rules. Implement and support back end procedures that work with the website application and system. Manage and report on the data that is submitted through the CHESS it e-mart website. This includes data for waivers, Requests for Quotes (RFQ)/Requests for Proposals (RFP), shopping carts (orders), software downloads, Microsoft Enterprise License Requests, etc. Load and manage the process for the data that is submitted to the it e-mart e-commerce product catalog. Ensure that the products are categorized and displayed correctly. Allow products to be purchased through the website only when applicable. Distinguish products that require an RFQ be submitted by the customer and correlate to the appropriate contracts. Program so the search engine will provide useful results to the customer. Provide ad-hoc reports and queries to Army customers and PLs on a broad range of data. Assist in maintaining the web interface relation with the back end database support. create and update reports used by PM, APM, and PL’s on the reporting tool (Cognos ReportNet) supplied. This involves monitoring a large amount of reports and ensuring they are up to date with current business rules in coordination with PL’s. Provide technical support to CHESS staff on certain applications and systems. Update and assist in maintaining the databases, web pages and content for the website using SQL, HTML, XML, JSP, and JavaScript. Criteria: BS or AAS plus 2 years database experience or HS Diploma plus 4 years database experience and 14 years of general database experience, with extensive knowledge of MS Office, as well as SQL, JSP, XML, HTML, Javascript, and C/C++. Experience with the following Operating Systems/Platforms: MS Windows, Windows Server 2000/2003 and UNIX. Experience with the following database systems: Oracle 9i/10g, SQL Navigator, Toad, and Navigator Access. Extensive experience with ATG software is a requirement particularly ATG Applications Part I & Part II. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with database entry and report generation Experience dealing with mid and senior level executives Note: Ability to successfully complete the Stanley Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education, Employment, Credit and Driving Records Checks for continued employment is required. Possession of a Government Agency Background Investigation/Security Clearance is required to begin employment.
