Description:SAIC is seeking a Project Manager for the McLean, VA site to execute electronic security systems projects that include access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems to protect critical assets for our Government customers. Candidates must have electronic security systems experience. It is expected that the Project Manager will travel 50%-80% to project sites. It is expected that first project will require the Project Manager to spend 9 months in Southeast Asia.
The Project Manager shall be responsible for managing and coordinating all project activities with DoD customer. This shall include responsibility for overall project performance within quality, budgetary and schedule guidelines. The Project Manager shall identify and recommend objectives and scope of technical projects and shall communicate goals, scope, approach and schedules to assigned personnel. The Project Manager shall manage project level budgets, forecasts manpower, equipment and supply needs. Additional responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and tracking all aspects of subcontracted work and material supplies. Project Manager will interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, support personnel, customer and upper management. As a primary customer interface, Project Manager must be able to listen to and understand customer expectations and concerns, and assure customer project is being executed effectively. The Project Manager will be required to support bid and proposal process to ensure successful bidding of new opportunities and expansions to existing projects. Required Education and Experience: Qualified candidates shall possess a Bachelor of Science or Administration degree, at least 5 years experience in the security industry working in a technical or management position working, with at least 3 years of successful task lead experience. A project description and a description of personnel supervised must be included in resume. The projects referenced must include direct experience with design, installation, and or maintenance support of integrated electronic security systems to include intrusion detection, access control and CCTV systems. References for specific systems and certifications are desired. Desired Education and Experience: A Master's degree in a related discipline and PMP certification. Electrical, network, and or civil engineering and experience working with DoD electronic security systems / force protection systems programs is highly desired.
