Job Title: Senior Technician

SAIC is seeking a Senior Technician for Qatar site to perform design and installation of electronic security systems that include access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems to protect critical assets for our Government customers in tactical environments. Candidates must have electronic security systems experience. It is expected that the Senior Technician will travel 80% to project sites in tactical environments.

The Senior Technician must be able to design and install electrical, data-communications, RF, computer, and electronic security components and systems. Must be able to listen to and understand customer expectations and concerns, and assure customer project is being executed effectively. Candidate will be required to:

• Develop, review and recommend technical solutions to support field tactical security requirements throughout Southwest Asia AOR.
• Develop designs and installation plans for Tactical Automated Security Systems (TASS) and associated IT networks, systems and support equipment.
• Establish security systems installations procedures and support field installation teams.
• Keep a current inventory of all GFE and contractor furnished equipment located through the AOR.
• Manage up to five employees to achieve performance goals.

Required Education and Experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent in the functional/technological area. Possess a minimum of ten years of technical experience in a specific function/technological area related to physical or electronic security systems and working knowledge of physical and electronic security systems and equipment. Must possess a valid U.S. passport and be willing to work in high risk areas.

An additional two years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
