Description:Battelle is currently seeking a Law Enforcement Section Lead/Subject Matter Expert to assist in establishing and supporting the Information and Geospatial Technologies Center of Excellence (IGTCOE) within the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center System (NLECTC System) for the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). This will be a full-time position located in St. Robert, Missouri with full compensation benefits based on qualifications and experience. A full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401k, pension plan, and tuition reimbursement will be provided. Relocation support is not available. Some travel is required. <br><br><br>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br><br>The successful candidate will possess the following skill sets: <br><br>• Law Enforcement or Police Standards Certification from a State or Federal Law Enforcement Academy. <br><br>• Advanced Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice Certifications <br><br>• Knowledge of Law Enforcement Technologies and advancements <br><br>• Experience as a interagency liaison <br><br>• Establishing, monitoring, and controlling time and task schedules <br><br>• Coordination and conducting meetings that may include high-ranking civil, federal, and tribal officials <br><br>• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and be clearly perceived by clients as being knowledgeable and providing value <br><br>• Adapt quickly to new situations; assimilate new information and situations easily <br>• Excellent writing and verbal skills <br>• Self-starter who works well in a team environment <br>• Capable of obtaining a DoD Secret security clearance <br>• 10 years of Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice Experience including 3 years as a Senior Officer or Supervisor <br><br>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS <br>• Investigative Certifications and Experience <br><br>• Law Enforcement Instructor Certifications <br><br>• Emergency Management and Homeland Security Knowledge <br><br>• Law Enforcement Field Training Officer Experience <br><br>• Understanding of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Information and Geospatial Technologies and advancements <br><br>• 5 years Senior Officer or Supervisor Experience <br><br>• Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science, or Police Administration <br><br><br>SUMMARY: Responsible for the effective and efficient supervision of the Law Enforcement Section of the Information and Geospatial Technologies Center of Excellence, Liaison for law enforcement SME and Technical personnel for specific project assignments, Assist in the implementation of the center operations plan, liaison with Federal, State, Local and Tribal Law Enforcement Agencies on specific project assignments, maintain law enforcement section operations within specific assignment budget, outreach program liaison, support the Center of Excellence in NIJ research and development projects. Other responsibilities include assisting the center director/deputy director and other lead personnel, assist in planning & program execution, evaluation and improvement of assigned technical and law enforcement research, testing and development, and evaluation programs. <br><br>This is not a technology position but the applicant must have an understanding of, and be able to function in the new technological environment (Information and Geospatial Technologies) in which our law enforcement and criminal justice personnel find themselves. <br><br>This offering is contingent upon award of the Information and Geospatial Technologies Center of Excellence NIJ grant to Battelle Memorial Institute.
