Job Title: Barrier Systems Technician

The Operations Intelligence and Security Business Unit has an opening for Barrier Systems Technician to maintain Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Systems at Yokota AB, Japan

Candidate will work at a USAF base supporting replacement of, enhancements to and operation of Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) barrier systems. Candidate will be required to maintain AT/FP barrier systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications. AT/FP barrier systems include but are limited to pop-up barriers, bollards, drop/lift arms, tire shredders, crash gates and turnstiles. This position requires a strong maintenance background with emphasis on electro/mechanical control systems, electrical systems and hydraulics. Candidate must be able to perform remedial maintenance (troubleshoot, fault isolation, remove, replace, test, repair and document), conduct preventive maintenance inspections and maintain configuration management records and drawings. Work includes but is not limited to testing and replacing hydraulic fluids, changing oil and filters, maintaining electro/mechanical control systems, checking for and repairing leaks around fittings, checking and replacing hydraulic hoses and reservoirs, rebuilding motors, repairing/installing electro/mechanical control systems and rebuilding hydraulic systems.

Required: High School Graduate and 5 years relevant maintenance experience.

Desired: Formal education, training and/or background in maintaining barrier systems. Prior experience in installing and maintaining Delta barrier systems, maintaining aerospace ground equipment and power production equipment are a plus.

Security Clearance:  Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
