FDNJ Expeditionary Center_Operations Group (OPSGRP) Support


 


 


Duties/Responsibilities:


· Provides technical direction and expertise in a variety of specialized areas including air and ground logistical support operations in contingency operations, exercise evaluation, exercise logistics planning, programming and execution


· Fully understands all customer requirements and develops technical solutions for each specific requirement


· Establish time phased force deployment document (TPFDD) in support of exercises


· Coordinate movement of pre-positioned stocks , equipment and personnel


· Establish exercise logistics support requirements pre-, post-, and during conduction of exercise (supplies needed, equipment requirements, transportation requirements, role players needed, meals required, etc)


· Review appropriate Concept of Operations (CONOPS), or Concept Plans (CONPLAN), Operation Plans (OPLAN) and other appropriate directives to determine training objectives and realistic scenarios


· Establish/coordinate exercise training objectives


· Solicit tactics, techniques and procedures from USAF EC experts and incorporate into scenarios and training aids


· Prepare/assist with preparation of briefing materials, in MS PowerPoint format


· Conduct periodic review and revise scenarios and training aids based on training needs as directed


· Provide crisis action planning support during execution of and design of exercises


· Ensure scenarios can be completed within available sites (knowledge of  land use planning and DoD transportation guide)


· Experience with Air Force training issues/practices


· Determine/assist unit finance representatives with budgeting required for conference/exercise


· Assist unit with managing schedules, resources, cost and quality in accordance with planned estimates and objectives


· Identify problems; determine accuracy and relevance of information; use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.


 


Education and Experience Requirements:


Minimum Experience


Three (3) years of experience in logistical planning/programming/execution of military exercises.


 


Education


Associates degree, or equivalent experience


 


Preferred Experience


Retired USAF Logistician (or Air Guard/Reservist)


Experience in Security Forces support or logistical support in a joint environment
