The SAIC Integrated Intelligence Solutions Operation (I2SO) of SAIC - Operations, Intelligence, and Security Business Unit has an opening for an Intel Writing Trainer in Suitland, MD.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Work will be performed primarily at ONI providing training support in writing excellence. Utilizing general analytical knowledge, skills and abilities to develop and instruct a broad training program. Program will focus on addressing writing issues at every level of the command.
May be asked to assist in other command training initiatives not to exceed 10% of the time.
Provide quarterly status reports on program to include progress of tutored students, formal courses and in-house workshops as well as new issues.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Refine and instruct a training program addressing writing issues within command. This will include coordination of external writing courses, instructing in-house workshops and one-on-one tutoring. Workshops are to include all facets of production including but not limited to grammar, logic flow, ODNI tradecraft standards, security classification markings, editing, and clarity in communication. Develop writing exercises to be used in mentoring sessions. Create and maintain a list of remedial writing courses in a shared folder that supervisors can access to plan employee training. Produce a list of quizzes to help diagnose writing problems. Help identify program participants by assessing existing products and having discussions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Final Release Authorities (FRAs) and supervisors. Be the central point of contact for the writing/editing education program.
Candidate will also provide support in the following areas: train and lead a cadre of in-house tutors, resource for supervisors in correcting specific employee writing challenges, develop library of writing references, identify additional programs and resources expanding the scope of the program, provide advisory services to other ONI centers wishing to create their own writing programs, review selected products and identify consistent shortfalls compared to established standards.
Produce short articles, one per quarter on the program for inclusion in newsletters as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Four-year college degree
-2 years of documented writing and editing experience
-5 years of significant intelligence experience
-Documentation (based on previous position) of significant leadership skills
-4 years experience as instructor in a classroom setting
-Detailed understanding of and experience using the following documents: Naval Correspondence Manual, NGA Writers Guide and Style Manual, ICD 203 and ICD 206, Security resources (CAPCO Register, CAPCO Implementation Manual, EO 13526)
-Excellent interpersonal skills dealing with personnel from entry-level to top leadership.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Experience overseeing creation of intelligence products
-Experience as senior intelligence officer
