The Security Technician will provide technical advice and support to Tactical Missile Technical Coordination Group (TMTCG) personnel, munitions depots, contractors, and other services on matters related to the use, operations, and safety of munitions, missiles, missile launchers, and associated support and test equipment.

1. Provide IPT team leaders and FMS missile launcher/ shop personnel resolutions to complex system problems.
2. Provide technical assistance on a world-wide basis for air launched tactical missiles, missile launchers, aircraft gun systems and bomb racks.
3. Accomplishes all necessary actions to insure the combat effectiveness of assigned missiles and launchers.
4. Advise technicians on methods of resolving unusual troubleshooting problems, repairing difficult system malfunctions, research and analysis, and resolving system failures.
5. Make on the spot decisions relative to the level of maintenance performs on equipment by FMS field personnel.
6. Provide procedural guidance to FMS field personnel.
7. Provide mentor training to lower grade employees participating in a structured training program.
8. Serve as the advocate for FMS maintainers and always considers impact to maintainer workload when making logistics decisions.
9. Provide expert technical advice to the TMTCG Chief and other senior leaders.
10. Develop a close professional relationship with FMS Missile Managers and keeps them abreast of the latest technical issues, meeting results, and conference findings.
11. Recommend changes to maintenance processes to improve mission readiness and system capabilities.
12. Participate and brief at Worldwide Reviews, In-Country Reviews, and Integrated Product Team meetings.
13. Provide recommendations and solutions to correct design deficiencies.
14. Prepare and present oral and written reports, briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership concerning system issues, problems, and training requirements.
15. As a SME, participate in technical reviews and conferences to provide advice on any and all technical system/equipment issues.
16. Provide technical advice while investigating and analyzing accidents, incidents, and system/equipment failures.
17. Determine supportability through investigations, analysis, and coordination using command Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) guidelines and responsibilities.
18. Plan, organize, coordinate, and accomplish assigned workload IAW established policy, technical directives, and standards.
19. Independently schedule assigned tasks and establishes milestones to insure projects are completed on time.
20. Evaluate Technical Orders (TCTOs) and perform TCTO proofing.
21. All information provided to FMS customers will comply with USAF foreign disclosure policy.
22. Action on assigned Supply Deficiency Reports (SDRs), FMS generated action items, and technical data change requests will be technically adequate.
23. Formal replies to SDRs, action items, and technical data change requests will beet required schedules as well as being through, technically accurate and well written.
24. Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers and an atmosphere of partnership through demonstrated technical competence.
25. Demonstrates sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs and requirements of both internal and external customers and works cooperatively with suppliers to achieve mutual goals.
26. Establishes a reputation of dependability.
