Job Duties and Responsibilities
What this Position will Offer You? This is a unique, full-time opportunity to help develop and deliver a powerful, web-based solution built with next generation technology, incorporating many Web 2.0 elements. ManTech developed this application for the defense industry and we are bringing it to new customers. Modeled after popular sites like Facebook and MySpace and often referred to as a "social network for spies," this application enables intelligence analysts to share information more freely, collaborate across agency lines, and connect in ways unseen to most. Position Description: You will develop and apply advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and difficult system design requirements and problems requiring the expert application of advanced knowledge. Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of system development from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance. Develop and refine new engineering techniques to enhance quality and productivity. Generate and approve projects and testing specifications. Develop test planning documentation, including test plans, test specifications, and test procedures for integrated systems. Review and evaluate proposed system interoperability from both data exchange and communications support capabilities. Design and develop equipment and system-oriented products and prepares related installation, operation and maintenance specifications and instructions. Perform and analyze site surveys and recommend optimum equipment/system placement and any applicable software solutions to meet requirements. Review completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and recommends corrections in technical application and analysis to management. Conduct hardware and software trade-off studies and prepares technical reports on the assessments. Assist the client in the establishment and conduct of quality assurance analysis and engineering to include periodic reviews and audits. Participate in site testing, security accreditation, and formal acceptance testing. Experience with simulations, data extraction, reduction, and analysis methodologies, modern techniques for system integration, and systems and software configuration management policy and guidelines preferred. May provide work leadership to lower level employees. Evaluate, recommend, install, and support complex LAN/WAN hardware and software. Position Requirements: - Masters Degree plus 15 years of experience OR Bachelors and 21 yrs of experience - Experience in developing Web applications in JAVA. - Experience with Web Services, XML, AJAX, HTML, FreeMarker Templates/Cascading Style Sheets (FTL/CSS), Struts. Integrating third party products using APIs. - Experience in the administration and support for user-generated content such as blogs, wikis or forums Security Requirements: Active Top Secret Clearance (SCI preferred) More Information: This job opening is just one of the many openings we have.
