Summary:
The Network Administrator sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks. The Network Administrator will be responsible for problem resolution, hardware maintenance, project implementations, and overall O & S responsibilities associated with maintaining an ATM network.  The LAN/WAN technician will be responsible for working problem reports, assessing engineering orders, and implementing assigned engineering orders.  This job requires the ability to be on call and possible weekends.

1. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations.
2. Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates/maintains a disaster recovery plan.
3. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
4. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
5. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
6. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.
7. Leads and directs the tasks of others.
8. Involves various levels of management responsibility.
9. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
10. Coordinate with other sites to address potential O & S system issues
11. Review all engineering projects
12. Maintain and document all network configurations
13. Open/Close trouble tickets, Change Request, AO's, and Engineering orders
14. Provide monthly crypto key loads.
15. Other duties as assigned

Must have excellent interpersonal skills; be able to handle multiple tasking. Additionally, must be familiar with government customer’s organizational structure. Technical experience in order to effectively speak to technical and design issues where required.


Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and 7+ years of related experience.
• Must have ATM experience.
• Must have experience of routing technologies, preferably OSPF


Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of LANE
Must have working knowledge with the following equipment or equivalent:
• Cisco
• Marconi
• Foundry
• General Dynamics Fastlane/Taclanes

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance:
• TS/SCI
• Security + certification
