This position is to serve our Department of Defense clients.  Military service or experience providing consulting services to DoD is preferred.  DoD experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.  Candidates without DoD experience are welcome to apply, but must have compelling Lean Six Sigma capability.  We are seeking a highly experience Lean Six Sigma Black Belt capable of completing complex projects.

The candidate will support an Army client on multiple projects in support of the Business Enterprise Office.  Specific support will be in the deployment policy and governance area. The selected candidate can also expect to lead military Continuous Process Improvement projects and be a mentor to multiple project  teams.

Master Black Belt Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Master Black Belt (MBB) with more than 5 + years of experience in the entire Six Sigma methodology in numerous environments
  • Candidates should have experience in  Lean Six Sigma deployments and be able to advise government deployment directors on setting and executing policy
  • MBB will also be an expert in traditional quality methods as taught by experts such as Deming and Juran and specialize in transactional Six Sigma; the application of Six Sigma to non-manufacturing processes
  • The Six Sigma Master Black Belt will possess a Master's degree in Business or Operations Management as well as a minimum of five years of business and information systems experience
  • The Six Sigma Master Black Belt will also possess a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from a recognized training organization as well as five plus years of experience implementing Six Sigma or other Quality solutions
  • As longer term requirements, the MBB may additionally act as a mentor to Black Belts; set project priority, sign-off on new projects, establish training programs for existing Black Belts, be accountable for continual improvement of Six Sigma team operations, and train new Black Belts
  • Experience with data tools is a definite plus
  • Must have strong facilitation and communication skills
  • Army experience is highly desirable.

  • Certification Requirements:
  • ASQ Black Belt Certification or other nationally recognized Certification
  • Master Black Belt Certification
