<P>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</P> <P>Under close supervision, monitors systems in a client/server environment in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Periodically perform systems’ checks and forwards discrepancies/problems in multiple operating systems and application disciplines, including Windows and UNIX.&nbsp; Assists in determining equipment settings, operating instructions, and the maintenance of operating records.&nbsp; Interacts with system users to identify and resolve moderately complex problems through coordination with applicable administrators and teams. Opens, tracks, and resolves trouble tickets using Remedy Action System.</P> <P>Individuals must exhibit strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills. Proficient verbal and written communication skills are also needed. This position demands a willingness and ability to devote time to a range of issues.&nbsp; A positive highly motivated attitude is a must. Must have some background in customer service and enjoy this part of the job.&nbsp; Requires consistent attention to detail while documenting system problems/issues and passing down clear, complete, and understandable pass down from shift to shift.&nbsp; This position requires fluent technical skills with an ability to perform moderate to complex tasks in a critical production environment.&nbsp; </P> <P>MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</P> <P>Current Secret Clearance</P> <P>Must have demonstrated ability to learn and apply limited system administrator skills in a Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and/or UNIX environment.</P> <P>Requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and one to two years of related help desk experience. A+, or Network + required.&nbsp; </P> <P>Must be able to support rotating shift work schedules - 24x7x365.&nbsp; Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts (with commensurate time off).&nbsp; Occasional on call status required.&nbsp; </P> <P>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</P> <P>MCP or MCSA 2003</P> <P>Fulcrum IT is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
