Our Opportunity:
Chewy.com is hiring a Regional Learning Development Manager to create and build training within the fulfillment centers from the ground up. You will implement fulfillment center training across a wide variety of pet product and categories including consumables and hard goods, including brand awareness and communications, onboarding and new leadership assimilation. We're creating the premier pet food and supply business in ecommerce and the main focus and contribution will be to drive operations and leadership development. We are passionate, and results driven but down-to-earth. We believe in excellence in all we do and accept nothing less. You will have strong instructional design and development background, and the ability to build learner-centric solutions that facilitate rapid assimilation through distributed delivery models to support the rapid and scalable expansion of our business. You have experience in directing enterprise-wide learning and development efforts for organizations within the retail industry and ideally will have led the training strategy and implementation in a start-up environment-building the function from the ground up. You will understand what it takes to build high-impact business-relevant training programs for the broader employee population on both the fulfillment center and support aspects of the business to raise the performance bar and create a consistent, exceptional customer experience. From brand messaging, product, service and sales training, through onboarding, new leader assimilation, technical and soft skills training, you will have designed and delivered a variety of programs across a broad spectrum of contexts. In addition, you will have led teams of 4 or more direct reports and will have documented success in the development and promotion of direct reports.
What You'll Do:
Partner closely with Chewy.com leadership to establish build a world-class learning and development organizationBuild and scale the learning and development organization as Chewy's Fulfillment center volume acceleratesForm training objectives, strategies and execution plansPlanning the training schedule for employees in a Fulfillment centerAllotting staff for trainingConduct tests for evaluating the skills of the employeesSupervise the training staff and ensure that they are following the planned scheduleReport the results of the training program to the management of the company50% travel required between fulfillment centers across the networkWhat You'll Need:
A minimum of seven years of experience building and managing internal training in a multi-product fast-paced organizationPrior experience with Training Infrastructure (Design, Curriculum, Implementation, Governance etc).Prior experience with blended learning methodology (CBT, Classroom/Virtual, Decentralized).Demonstrated advanced-level ability to communicate, influence and negotiate decisions while motivating assigned staff.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.Demonstrated authoritative skills in the areas of coaching, process development and consulting.If you have a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act or similar law, or you require a religious accommodation, and you wish to discuss potential accommodations related to applying for employment at our company, please contact HR@Chewy.com.
