Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Learning Project Manager to build and lead the team that produces engaging, scalable training content for Chewy's diverse workforce of 12,000+ Team Members. The ideal candidate will assess, anticipate, and proactively align business objectives to appropriate learning needs as well as implement impactful and creative learning solutions. As a thought leader in Chewy's Fulfillment Learning & Development team, this role will contribute substantially to our ability to drive exceptional business performance through the development of Chewy's talent. This position reports to the Associate Director, Strategic Learning & Development in Chewy's Fulfillment department and can be based in any of our Fulfillment Centers.
The Preferred location is Phoenix, AZ
What You'll Do:
Lead and coach the central instructional design team that utilizes an array of different delivery methods - instructor-led, e-learnings, mobile, video, gamification, simulations, micro-learnings, social, etc.Partner with leadership stakeholders across the business to design and adapt content that meets specific department needsDefine and measure success metrics to assess effectiveness of learning programsEstablish and maintain the brand standards for learning at Chewy; work with functional training teams to ensure a globally consistent approach to trainingStay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning methods; implement solutions to continuously keep Chewy learning relevant for our Team MembersDetermine the balance between internal and external design resources and manage any external vendor relationships accordingly; oversee the resulting budget neededWhat You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; concentration in Instructional Design, Education, Communications or Business Administration preferredMinimum 5 - 7 years of professional instructional design experience, ideally in a fulfillment, warehouse or operations environmentExperience designing a variety of training experiences (instructor-led, eLearnings, etc.)Familiarity with instructional technology, such as authoring software (Captivate, InDesign, etc.), video editing software, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)Exceptional interpersonal skills, with demonstrated abilities to communicate effectively (written and oral) with all types of employeesMinimum 3 years experience managing instructional design teams and working cross-functionally with other technical and non-technical teamsSolid organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and with little oversightAttention to detail and accuracy; high level of commitment to exceptional work qualityDemonstrated capacity to be highly creative, analytical, and data-driven at same timeOccasional travel to Chewy's other offices and Fulfillment Centers as needed (20-25%)If you have a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act or similar law, or you require a religious accommodation, and you wish to discuss potential accommodations related to applying for employment at our company, please contact HR@Chewy.com.
