Job Title: Program Manager - Hazmat \u0026 Product Compliance

What You'll Do:
Work with leaders at 8 different fulfillment centers and the corporate offices to ensure that compliance is being met in regards to Hazardous MaterialsImplement and modify processes to reduce risk specific to compliance and regulation of Hazardous MaterialsPartner with various stakeholders in the business to drive change and communicate findingsPartner with vendors to ensure that Chewy product is correctly identified as the correct category or classificationEnsure Document Control and Record Keeping are taking place around Hazardous Material within the fulfillment centersAssess risk as the Supply Chain Network grows, fulfillment centers continue to open, hiring increases, and the product selection continues to increasePartner with safety managers at each of the FC's to drive compliance, training, awareness and change at the hourly Team Member levelCreate and conduct trainings to improve compliance, raise awareness, and improve engagement around Hazardous MaterialWork with tech and WMS teams to communicate needs for compliance in certain processes within operationsCreate and implement metrics and data points that communicate efforts and results within the networkWhat You'll Need:
Bachelor degree in an Environmental Health Science or Science related field3 -5 years' experience in a Hazmat or Waste Management positionStrong knowledge on shipping specifications based on hazardous typesOSHA certifications related to Environmental Health or Hazmat; not required but a plusWilling to travel approximately 25% of timeAbility to prioritize competing priorities with tight deadlinesStrong quantitative and analytical skills requiredExcitement for working in a start-up environment with high level of ambiguity and changeMetrics driven mindsetCustomer service obsession, with willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy customer needsEffective communicator and leader for employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams and executive leadershipProven ability to quickly adapt and drive the right results using dataHighest levels of integrity and ethicsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerpointAbility to work in both a team environment as well as independently, sometimes in ambiguous situations.Ability to handle a fast-paced, changing environment workplaceIf you have a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act or similar law, or you require a religious accommodation, and you wish to discuss potential accommodations related to applying for employment at our company, please contact HR@Chewy.com.
