Opportunity for candidate to build out a new cloud environment for Solar Turbines Incorporated with an emphasis on using the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.
Lead the architecture solution for the cloud program. Define the relationships, flow and implementation of business processes through relevant application layers and technology stacks. Provide leadership for application/infrastructure architecture plans, technology design and lifecycle and information integrity. Promote the reuse of corporate Enterprise Architecture processes/reviews and standard compliance practices. Collaborate with architects and technical resources with communications for investments, architectural changes or strategic business needs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Providing leadership and best practices on AWS solution architecture, following the Well-Architected Framework;
Providing cloud technology leadership, guidance, and expertise to other team members;
Providing consultation on best practices for teams starting their cloud journey;
Working directly on complex technical problem identification and resolution;
Working independently on complex, globally distributed cloud technology components that may be used by one or more applications or systems;
Deploying or integrating cloud technologies based on requirements gathered from customers;
Performing implementation and integration tasks for medium to large, complex in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions;
Assisting customers with documentation, training and usability efforts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate with internal and external teams (vendors/suppliers).
Strong knowledge of relevant business processes or applications and their relationship to systems.
Expert ability to troubleshoot and recommend process changes that improve the overall implementation, maintenance and support of applications and/or technical infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree
6+ years in enterprise-scale infrastructure operations or application development
Emphasis in areas of networking, analytics platforms, or security
Experience developing automated solutions to deploy infrastructure or applications
Experience troubleshooting infrastructure and/or application connectivity issues across a complex global network
Experience developing architectural designs, processes and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Stack templates
Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Windows server environments
A certification in TOGAF or similar framework
Professional or Specialty AWS Certification
Experience working in an Agile methodology
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, specifically Azure DevOps (Microsoft VSTS)
Knowledge of Azure Cloud Platform capabilities / technologies?

Advanced knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Windows server environments
