Description:DDL OMNI Engineering is currently seeking a Field Engineer I to support our Engineering Services Division. The position performs a variety of complex tasks applied to specialized submarine technology. The Field Engineer provides technical support for documentation and troubleshooting of shipboard sonar sensors; and for installing and conducting tests of installed systems and sensors. Travel is required in the performance of certain tasking. This is a great opportunity for a motivated Field Engineer I to participate in a team environment and make an impact immediately. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 2 years experience; or U.S. Navy “A” or “C” schools in Sonar, Fire Control or Electronic systems and 5 years of experience. Skills Required: Knowledge and experience in U.S. Navy submarines and sonar systems highly desirable. Normally requires over eight years of experience. Must have electronic and mechanical aptitude, with detailed knowledge of electronic methods and practices. Must be capable of working independently and communicating clearly and succinctly with engineering and management personnel. Skills include soldering, cable assembly, troubleshooting and experience with systems operation, test and evaluation. This position requires the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
