<P>FULCRUM IT JOB DESCRIPTION</P> <P>Position Title:&nbsp;Senior Oracle DBA <br>FLSA Status:&nbsp;Full-time, Salary, Exempt<br>Clearance:&nbsp;TS/SCI<br>Location:&nbsp;Suitland, MD<br><br>Summary:&nbsp; The candidate's primary responsibility will be to provide database administration support to the development team. Additionally the candidate will perform some software engineering duties to support the integration of additional functionality into the system and/or modify existing system functionality. The candidate may provide support to Operations and Sustainment as Tier-3 support engineer.</P> <P>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<br>1.&nbsp;Working, and practical, knowledge of Oracle Database administration functions, database structures and design; <br>2.&nbsp;Develop and maintain scripts and programs for data exchanges and interfaces with external systems;&nbsp; <br>3.&nbsp;Coordinate format requirements for data interfaces with mission critical systems; <br>4.&nbsp;Technical POC for interface requirement issues; <br>5.&nbsp;Provide general technical and network administrative support; <br>6.&nbsp;Provide monthly status to the Technical POC; <br>7.&nbsp;Provide metric reporting to client management; <br>8.&nbsp;Provide monthly status to the Team Lead; <br>9.&nbsp;Demonstrated user-centered service philosophy.<br>10.&nbsp;Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.</P> <P>Minimum Requirements:</P> <P>•&nbsp;Education/Experience:&nbsp;Bachelor’s degree and five plus (5+) years of experience or a HS degree with 10+ years of related equivalent experience.<br>•&nbsp;Computers:&nbsp;Database administration, including experience with backup and recovery; SQL, PL/SQL; Support of database synchronization; System migration and interface support; Provide technical analysis and implementation support for system and functionality upgrades; Experience with Unix operating system and Unix scripting; Requires working knowledge of hardware, software and system analysis.<br>•&nbsp;Certificates:&nbsp;8570 requirements or a minimum of Security +&nbsp;<br>•&nbsp;Clearance:&nbsp;TS/SCI<br>•&nbsp;US Passport:&nbsp;Not required</P> <P>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:&nbsp; <br>•&nbsp;Strong oral and written communications skills and be capable of effectively directing and teaching subordinates<br>•&nbsp;Ability to function as a member of a team while also capable of operation alone with little to no supervision or constant guidance</P> <P>Desired or Preferred Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:&nbsp; <br>• Hands on SW development experience<br>• Ability to perform any/all task within ORACLE/DBA lifecycle (design, development, unit/class testing, maintenance, documentation).</P> <P>Physical Demands - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
